Event Name: Healthy Harvest 5K 2025
Location: Davie, Florida

Looking for your race photos from the Harvest Healthy Fun Run 5K? We captured every moment at Vista View Park in Davie, Florida this October. As a professional race photographer covering South Florida running events, we positioned ourselves at the finish line to document the energy, emotion, and celebration that makes community 5K races special.

The pre-race warm-up at Vista View Park set the tone for what was about to unfold. Tina Loschin (bib 49) and Merline Tiennat (bib 203) were getting loose, stretching out, and building that pre-race energy. There's something special about watching a crowd prepare before a 5K, and this morning didn't disappoint.

Here's where it gets good. The finish line at Vista View Park became this incredible celebration zone where every single finisher got their moment. As your race photographer, we positioned ourselves right there to catch the joy, the relief, and the pure triumph of completing a 5K.

Didier Lugo (bib 961) in that pink and black kit was moving. The form, the focus, the pace – this was someone chasing a time goal, and chasing it hard. And Sergio Cano (bib 509) representing Team Fort Lauderdale? You could see the effort in every stride. That's the face of someone digging deep in those final meters.

Why Professional Race Photography Matters at Vista View Park Events

We've photographed races all over South Florida – Markham Park, Tropical Park, Quiet Waters – and Vista View Park in Davie has this unique energy. Those rolling hills create natural backdrops (which photographers absolutely love), the course layout works beautifully for spectators, and there's enough space for everyone to spread out without feeling crowded.

The celebration moments kept coming. That double peace sign energy, the arms raised in victory – every finisher brought their own style to that finish line mat. And Michele Mason (bib 965) brought the peace signs with that smile that says "I just did that."

The park's location right off I-75 makes it accessible for runners coming from all over Broward County and beyond. We had participants from Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Weston, and even some folks who drove up from Miami-Dade just for this event.

Danielle Plevin (bib 427) executed perfect race form – steady, controlled, focused. That's someone who trained for this and delivered. And Jessica Rodriguez (bib 234) coming in with those double peace signs and pure happiness written all over her face – that's what we're talking about. Different paces, different goals, same triumph.

Let's talk about the athletes who came to race. Some people show up to jog and have fun (nothing wrong with that), but others? Others came to run.

Gregory Zalkin (bib 473)? That fist pump says it all. We've photographed enough finish lines to know – that's the universal sign of "I just crushed my goal." And Adrian Ruiz (bib 944) gave us pure celebration – both arms up, flying across that finish line. The raw emotion of completing a goal never gets old to photograph.

From a photography standpoint, this event presented the perfect mix of challenges and opportunities. The morning start time meant working with that early October light – not quite golden hour, but soft enough to be flattering without creating harsh shadows.

How to Find Your Race Photos After a 5K

What we love most about shooting these community 5Ks is the range of emotions. Everyone's running their own race, hitting their own goals. That's why we photograph every runner – so you can find your finish line moment by searching your bib number.

Heather Green (bib 963) brought those double thumbs up with a smile that could power the whole park. And Dana Hall (bib 235) came through with that powerful fist-raised finish – determination written all over her face. That's the face of someone who just accomplished something meaningful.

Positioning at the finish line is always strategic. We want to capture runners as they approach, showing effort and emotion, but also get those celebration moments right after they cross.

Kishwa Singleton (bib 638) came through with celebratory style, and Elaine Stevens (bib 409) brought that brilliant smile. Both runners showing us that fitness and fun absolutely go hand in hand.

Let's talk about those finisher medals for a second. Every participant earned one, and the design was actually pretty sweet. We watched people immediately put them on after crossing the finish line, wearing them with pride during the post-race festivities.

Running Event Photography Across South Florida

There's something about a physical medal that digital race results can't replicate. Sure, you can check your time on your phone, but that medal hanging in your room? That's tangible proof of what you accomplished.

The medal shots capture something special – that moment right after you've accomplished your goal, when it's all starting to sink in. Elaine Stevens (bib 409) and Dana Hall (bib 235) both wearing those medals with pride, that post-race glow that says "I did it."

Post-Race Celebration Photography at Vista View Park

What happened after everyone crossed the finish line? The event organizers kept the energy going with DJ Petey spinning tracks, getting people dancing, and turning Vista View Park into a proper celebration. To Chau Russo (bib 513) absolutely won the day with that harvest-themed outfit – orange everywhere, the leaf headband, the "Happy Fall Y'all" vest covered in decorations. This is what makes community 5Ks special. People show up ready to celebrate. And Ruth Mosley (bib 943) wearing that finisher medal with pride, soaking in the post-race atmosphere.

The kids absolutely crushed it. Four young runners, all with their medals, arms around each other – this is what the next generation of runners looks like. They showed up, they ran, they earned those medals, and they're already talking about the next race.

This group shot tells the real story of the Harvest Healthy Fun Run 5K. It's not just about individual times or PR chases (though those matter too). It's about bringing communities together, creating memories, and showing the next generation that fitness and fun go hand in hand. Look at those medals, those smiles, that collective pride.

Why Vista View Park is Perfect for Race Photography

The Harvest Healthy Fun Run 5K wasn't trying to be the biggest race in South Florida or the most competitive. It carved out its own lane: family-friendly, community-focused, and genuinely fun. Mt. Hermon AME's partnership in presenting the event brought that authentic community connection that you can't fake.

Victory Sports Management knows how to use this venue. From the prominent turquoise arches to the finish line setup, everything was positioned to maximize both the participant experience and the photo opportunities.

Final Thoughts From Behind the Camera

After years of shooting races across South Florida, events like the Harvest Healthy Fun Run 5K remind us why we do this. It's not about capturing the fastest times or the biggest events. It's about documenting a community coming together, challenging themselves, and celebrating every single finish – whether that's a PR or a first-ever 5K.

From the serious racers chasing PRs to the families running together, from the solo runners conquering personal goals to the kids earning their first medals – everyone had their moment at Vista View Park on October 11, 2025. And we were there to capture every single one.

That's what community racing is all about. And that's exactly what we love to photograph.
